The district pays 100% of the cost of Primary Benefits for all eligible employees. Additional benefits may be purchased on a voluntary basis:
- Supplemental Accident, Cancer, Intensive Care, Hospitalization (pre-tax)
- Tax-deferred Investment Plans (pre-tax)
- Pre-paid Legal Plan
- Other Benefits

Employees who are hired on a 0.5 contract, or more, will be enrolled in the plan, with the district matching all contributions. All employees participate in OASI (Social Security/Medicare).
Administrators and contract support staff who work year-round earn vacation time
The FUSD worker's compensation program provides benefits to employees who are injured on the job, including payment of medical services and lost income. An employee must work a minimum of 30 hours per week to be classified as full time and be eligible for benefits.
