Air Force Junior ROTC (AFJROTC)

    The mission of the Air Force Junior ROTC (AFJROTC) here at Poston Butte High School is to "develop citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and community." The Bronco AFJROTC is a school class/club that is open to any high school student who is a citizen of the United States, is at least 14 years of age and is physically fit. The course offers the following - 1st year; "Journey Into Aviation History," 2nd year; "The Science of Flight," 3rd year; "An Introduction to Astronomy," 4th year; "Air Force Policy & Organization." Included in the program are field trips, picinics, community & social service projects, food drives, awards ceremonies and other family related activities. Cadets wear the Air Force uniform at school one day a week. Cadets learn eadership skills via hands-on activities running the unit. AFJROTC builds confidence, character and appreciatioin for our country and military.
