The Florence Gopher DIG IT program is part of the PBIS implementation framework. PBIS stands for Positive Behavior Interventions and Support. The purpose of this program is to enhance academic and social behavior for all students by:
Building programs that recognize positive student behavior.
Emphasizing the use of data for informing decisions and monitoring academic progress.
Offer support tools and resources for teachers to better manage student behavior across the campus. This is not a curriculum, but a decision-making framework that guides the school in offering high quality, evidence-based academic and behavior support to all students.
